My The Affair Thoughts blog thanks to 4inkjets coupon SIGLER14

For the record, he is my fave character

This blog is made possible thanks to 4inkjets coupon SIGLER14. You can get your inkjet replacements for 10% off!

I watched the Golden Globes yesterday and was shocked that a show called The Affair beat out GoT for best television drama. I'm finding it hard to believe that a show such as GoT that is so popular, HBO is considering changing the way they deliver their shows because of it, was beat out by The Affair. HBO has already admitted they are okay with people downloading GoT or sharing their passwords to watch online. That's just how popular GoT is.

So I thought that I would watch some of The Affair to see what was up.

Now, first off, this isn't solely a review of The Affair on it's own accord, but more in relation to GoT.

GoT is by far the superior show.

The reason GoT is illegally downloaded so much is that you CAN NOT MISS IT. Everyone will be talking about the show the next day on Monday. It is so fantastic. The intrigue, the acting, the set design, the costumes. Everything is impeccable.

Ask someone to pick their favorite character from GoT and it might take awhile. First, you are like oh, for sure Cersei. Then, you are like, no Brienne. Stop, wait, for sure this time it's Tyrion.

You most definitely can not say that about The Affair.

I'm not going to turn down plans to watch the latest The Affair. I would, of course, give some one the stink eye if they wanted to go get a drink when Game of Thrones was on.

Sorry, Golden Globes, but it seems to me you got paid to promote The Affair.

Now, I'm not saying it is a bad show. I'm rather enjoying it. However, no contest.

The Packers play the Cowboys in the Divisional round of the playoffs. There are so many feelings about this game.

One, it is the game of the week. Let's be real. Dallas has been eyeing a playoff spot since 2009. They want this, bad. Jerry Jones is practically rabid for this. Tony Romo will soon be applying for social security disability insurance because there is no way that man is not crippled in 2 or 3 years. This is his one shot at it. After this, I just don't see it happening. A lot had to come together for the Cowboys to get their shot this year. The Washington Football Team was awful this year, as were the Giants. There is no way that continues. I'm not saying those two teams are going to become winners over night, I'm just saying they will get better than what they are now. The window will close on the Cowboys from getting such easy wins.

I know Dallas really, really wants the win, but I can't stand the Cowboys. They are such a pompous organization. It's not simply that I want my team to win, but I really, really want the Cowboys to lose. I even rooted for the Lions last week ... the Lions! That's how much I hate the Cowboys.

As for the Packers, I want them to win so badly. We have not won in the last few years because our Achilles heel has been the Niners. Now that the Niners are out, we are free from their curse. However, one last curse remains, our horrible defense. Yes, it has improved over the last few weeks, however, I'm still not convinced. If we lose, it will be because of Dom Capers and his belief in "bend not break". The problem is we bend so much we let the other team dip into the end zone.

The game is this Sunday -- good luck Packers.

My NFL Playoffs Thoughts blog thanks to 4inkjets coupon SIGLER14

Hmm. Let me think about this. Yup, I AM AN ASSHOLE

This blog is made possible thanks to 4inkjets coupon SIGLER14. Get your replacement inkjets for 10%

I am infinitely happy that the Packers have made it into the playoffs. It was such strong work on our part that we made it to the second seed. Phew! Boy do we need that two week rest, as evidenced by Aaron Rodgers going down in the second quarter. My hopes were sincerely dashed at that moment that we would be screwed. I love Matt Flynn and all, but, come on. We weren't winning that game with Flynn in.

Then, happy day! He came back into the game! I was so happy. It was also pretty funny to watch him tug on that man's beard. I guess Aaron has done that many a times before.

Now, with the two week rest, we have time to regroup. However, Suh, everyones most hated defensive player, did not get suspended, but merely fined. That blows. I really think he should have been fined.

However, that means I might get a late Christmas gift with Suh wiping the floor with Tony Romo's face. I'm assuming I'm not the only one thrilled by this idea.

I can't believe that I am going to say this, but I hope that the Lions win. I really do. I can't stand the machine that is the Dallas Cowboys.

Save 10% with 4inkjets coupon SIGLER14 this holiday season

4inkjets coupon

4inkjets coupon SIGLER14 can save you 10% this holiday season.

What I like about 4inkjets is that they are great on so many levels.

You have every product you can think of available to you. Plus, it is very easy to find on their website. Everything is listed in a manner that is quick to find. That's something I really appreciate. I really despise going to a product website and not being able to find what I need. Clicking through multiple pages to find something someone is selling is not good customer service. That's why I appreciate 4inkjets so much.

Their products are also inexpensive. That's a good place to start. On top of that, they offer coupons. I think that's great. Also, another way you can save is by purchasing remanufactured products. If you combine 4inkjets coupon SIGLER14, plus a remanufactured product, you will save up to 34%.

See what I mean? There is a lot to like about 4inkjets.

My Sleepy Hollow Thoughts blog thanks to 4inkjets coupon SIGLER14

This blog is made possible thanks to the good people at 4inkjets. Save yourself 10% with 4inkjets coupon SIGLER14.

This week's episode gave us what everyone wanted. It was Henry making the right choice and choosing his parents. Ichabod and Katrina weren't sure if they could kill Henry, but Henry came through anyway -- with much convincing.

I guess what really convinced him was how heartless Moloch was toward Henry. This was who he truly considered his father, and yet, Moloch did not care for him. Uh, duh.

When Ichabod was willing to sacrifice himself to save Katrina, Henry saw that he could not let Moloch kill them. Well, also, there would be no show.

I hope we get to find out if the captain was able to save his soul before he died. It doesn't seem so, as he died before Moloch, but I'm sure they will find a way around that.

This show is almost there at being good, but it still disappoints. For me, I guess it's that we have this emotional scene taking place, and my heart is not in it. I think it is the writing. It's weird, it all happens to fast and too slow. Too slow for Henry to realize over multiple, multiple episodes that Moloch does not have his best interests at heart, and then once the climax comes, it's over so fast, much like the plot line with the mother.

I will keep giving it a chance though, as it is on Hulu plus for me, and therefore, I will eventually get to this series.

My Sleepy Hollow Thoughts blog thanks to 4inkjets coupon SIGLER14

Thanks to 4inkjets coupon SIGLER14, I can write about one of my favorite television shows, Sleepy Hollow. Thanks to the time and money I save with their fabulous inkjets, I get to spend more time doing things I love, like relaxing while watching a good television show. I even have time to write about the show on my blog, since the 4inkjet website is so easy to use, I don't waste a bunch of time searching the site for the items I need.

This episode was titled Momma.

This episode was much better than those of recent past. Mostly, because there was a bit more character development. We finally got to have an episode with the sisters' mother. It was good piece of character interaction.

Another good part of the episode was the fact that Ichabod was sick. Again, when this show has a little fun, and tries to be humorous, it succeeds.  The gentleman that plays Ichabod is a good actor, and this show really highlights his strengths.

Abbie, again, is a terrible actress. She really only has a few tricks up her sleeve and then she runs out. She can not truly convey emotion, and she does not understand subtleties. This episode could have been way better with a better actress at the helm. She is strikingly beautiful, and clearly why she got the job, but perhaps she could take an acting class between seasons. She does have good chemistry with Ichabod, but, at this point, one has to ask themselves if it is because they have good chemistry together, or, if when she has scenes with him, his skill elevates the scene.

The show misses its chance once again to have a more intriguing episode. The mother was a great asset and they did not fully utilize her. A one and done episode with her seems extremely lacking. The show seems to forget that it is wholly possible to have more than one episode with a character. Every episode does not have to complete. A few episodes with the mother would have been great. Flesh out what it was like for the mother in the insane asylum. Spend more time with the sisters interacting on behalf of their mother. Abbie could have been locked up longer in the asylum. Show the blonde guy getting increasingly worried for Abbie. None of this happened. The show really is not understanding character development at all.

I feel like I like the show more for its potential, than for what it actually brings to the table.

My Sleepy Hollow Thoughts blog thanks to 4inkjets coupon SIGLER14

This blog is made possible thanks to 4inkjets coupon SIGLER14. Get your inkjets for 10% off today.

This week's episode was called Heartless. The main premise of the episode was that Ichabod, Abbie and Katrina are fighting against a Succubus.

I feel like the season is losing its edge. The problem is, nothing is moved forward. I don't know why the trio don't just give up at this point. It's an exhausting amount of work when just new baddies come into each episode and nothing new happens with the over arching storyline.

Yes, Harry is bad. Yes, Abbie is right. No, Katrina is wrong about Henry.

However, can you really chance the whole worlds survival based on the fact he was your son? It just doesn't make sense. He's one of the four horseman for Peete's sake. Get over it already.

I think I am beginning to agree with other people who watch the show. Something has to move it forward at this point. I'm tired of seeing them fight monsters, but overall nothing really happens.

I like we they insert humor into the show. The humor part of it is great. Why don't the writers realize this? No, not every episode can we have Ichabod and Katrina watching The Bachelor, but I am sure there are more ways to insert some humor.

Here is some examples of what you could. Move the story forward with Henry. Is he bad or good? That can remain the question, but there is no conflict here. He's bad right now. He has not ever shown that he wants to be good. If you want more dilemma, present a dilemma for Henry. Make us want to side with Katrina if you want it to be more interesting. Right now Henry has the potential to be a good character, but he is flat.

As for the Succubus storyline, there wasn't much there. That's the problem. I can't even write a good recap because that is pretty much it. The creature was okay. Yet, meh.

All good television shows have good characters and good character development. Why not cause an issue between Abbie and her sister Jenny? Why not set up a longer betrayal between Katrina and Ichabod, or even better, set it up where Katrina betrays Abbie. That would be good. Then what would Ichabod do? Who would he choose? His friend, or his lovely wife that isn't really all that on his side.

My Sleepy Hollow Thoughts Blog Thanks to 4inkjets coupon SIGLER14

This blog is made possible thanks to 4inkjets coupon SIGLER14.

I love watching the show Sleepy Hollow.  I must admit though, I tried to watch a few episodes from the first season when it first came out, and I just couldn't get into it. Maybe it was the time it was on, or perhaps maybe the show had not hit its stride.

It could be because I signed up for Hulu Plus. Now, it shows up as shows I watch and I can watch it whenever I want. I don't have to plan ahead to record it or anything like that.

I also really have a thing now about not getting into a show unless I know it is going to be renewed for a second season. I do not want to waste my time anymore getting into a show only to find out that it got cancelled.

The second season was not hard to pick up. I think that helps to. It's not like Lost. You had to watch Lost from the beginning to understand what was going on. This is pretty straight forward. There are monsters and spirits in Sleepy Hollow. Ichabod Crane is back from the dead, and there is a headless horseman. Ichabod is working with a Sleepy Hollow policewoman named Abbie Mills and they together are fighting a main bad dude named Moloch. That's pretty much it in a nutshell.

The actress who plays Abbie is gorgeous. I love to look at her on the screen. However, while her acting is not terrible, it's not great either. I think that it is made even more obvious by the fact that the actor who plays Ichabod is, in my opinion, knocking it out of the park. He somehow sells to you that this guy really is genuine. That he's a good guy. That he loves his witch wife. He nails playful,. He nails concern/caring. He nails fear. He nails being able to fight. Pretty good actor.

He, like Abbie, is not bad to look at either.

The show is good fun. The effects are pretty good too.

As for the plot, this week's episode was kind of fun. Ichabod and Abbie are trying to save Ichabod's wife Katrina from birthing a demon baby, the Moloch. I think the plot line of some crystal focusing the sun to be like the aurora borealis was a bit goofy, I feel like the writing could be better than that. I did find it infinitely annoying that Ichabod and his wife are overly sympathizing with Henry. Enough already. He made his choice. He keeps trying to kill you. I now, I know, the tv writers are gonna turn his character around, but I don't think they should. Let him be evil. That's fine. I'd like to see Abraham redeemed. That is way more worth my time.

However, I look forward to next week and seeing how soon it will be before Ichabod and Abbie become a couple - as Harry said to Sally, women and men can't be friends. Also, I do like the trouble brewing between Abbie and her sister. Jenny clearly likes Hawley and Hawley clearly likes Abbie. Let's make this happen already.

I also really want Katrina to fall for Abraham after all.
