What a World Cup! It was by far such an excellent game. So much better than the Brazil Germany game from a few days ago.

Some of the big differences was the defense of Argentina. Wow, was their defense good. It really was messing with Germany's ability to get their offense going. Not a lot of space to pass the ball. However, Argentina on the other hand had zero shots on goal that were on target. Part of the problem was Messi. I know he got the Golden Ball, but watching him in this game, meh. His final shot was proof in the pudding. I call it a testosterone shot. So wildly above the goal. Not even close. It pretty much summed up the game for Messi.

Plus, kuddos to the Germany team and their goal. That was one of the most beautiful goals I have ever seen. The one touch and then off his boot -- body stretched out. Glorious.

Love the Germany goalie. Just love him. I loved his hug with Chancellor Merkel at the end. Super sweet. He got the Golden Glove and I'm happy he did. However, I was a bit surprised that Tim Howard was not even in the top three of contenders.

Can't wait to see what the next Fifa World Cup brings. However, now I am going to have to watch some of my favorite players play int he following years on their respective home teams. Manuel Neuer, Tim Howard, Clint Dempsey, Mueller, Robben, Kuyt, and Sneijder.
